He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Bird and Pearl Bird; his wife Norma Strobel; his siblings, Dale Bird and Alice Schaeffer; and his grandson Andrew Stitt.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas, Michelle Wheeler of Fairview, MT and Wade Bird (Theresa); his brother Robert Bird (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Amy Verhasselt (Dean), Allen Stitt, Cameron Wheeler, Taylor Bird, Wade E. Bird and Brian Henry. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
