He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Melissa; his children, Cooper John, Conner and Hunter; his mother Alice; his sisters, Mary Lou Fluto (Craig) of Mandan and Sue Fisher (Billy) of Mandan; his siblings' children, Brian (Brad Bond), Ashley Hruby (Tyler) and Glenda Duppong (Doug) of Mandan; his grandchildren, Austin and Katelyn; his brothers, Allen of Mandan and Jim (Rhonda) of Mandan; his siblings' children, Jamison Mindt, Tate, Tucker and Riley; his parent-in-law George; his brother-in-law Clint Anglin (Laurel); his nieces, Taytum and Jarred Anglin (Becky); his grandchildren, Jaxson, Amelia, Carter, Bill and Donna Fisher; his father George Jr.; and his grandparents, George, Louise Schwartzbauer, Sr., Glen and Katherine Taylor.

John's generosity lives on, even in his death, as he gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
