He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Veal and Mildred Veal (Iverson); his wife Ina; his children, Dwayne and Jeanne Wengel; and his siblings, Thomas, Daryl, Mildred and Verla.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Rhonda Cook; his great grandchild Caleb Cook; his son-in-law Richard Wengel; and his brothers, Boyd and Donald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Masonic Lodge-Child's Learning, the ND Association of the Blind, or a charity of the donor's choice.
