He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Anderson; his granddaughters, Ariel and Mariah Hystad; his siblings, Walter Marshall (Ardyce), Glenn Marshall, Mildred Nelson (Al) and Ethel Behm (John); and his parents-in-law, Marlys Reiner (Robert), Arlene Collier (Arlie), Bill Walker and Dennis 'Joe' Anderson (Dodie).
He is survived by: his children, William Marshall (MaryLou) of Minot, Michael Marshall (Pam) of Garrison, Linda Hystad (Harry) of Velva, Gregory Marshall (Margie) of Burlington and Lori Selfors (Steve) of Lake Metigoshe; his grandchildren, Sarah Carr (Aaron), Kristi Marshall, Stacey Erickson (David), Jessica Smestad (Tyrell), Matthew Hystad, Colin Marshall (Julie), Katlin Marshall, Shawn Marshall and Marshall Selfors; his great grandchildren, Viktoria, Haleigh, Caleb Carr, Natalie, Everett Smestad, Cadence Hystad, Carter and Emma Marshall; and his parents-in-law, Jeanette Marshall of Minot, Dona Smedley, Denyce Walker and Leona Janz (Blaine).
