He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Opdahl and Lois Opdahl (Bykonen); his siblings, Chloe Hart and Lyle Opdahl; and his great-nephew Trevor Hart.
He is survived by: his former wife Mari Louise Olsen (Skip); his daughter Veronica; his wife Skip Opdahl; his daughters, Cheryl Jorgenson (Steve) of Minot, ND and Prudi Frisco (Wes) of Minot, ND; his granddaughter Ciarra Beckstrand (Calby) of Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Marlee Grace and Norah Kate Beckstrand of Fargo, ND; and his sister-in-law LeeAnn Opdahl of Battleview, ND. He is also survived by many nieces, and great-nieces and nephews.
