She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Helliwell and Olga Helliwell; her husband Theodore Gates; her children, Grant Gates and Jennifer Gates; and her siblings, Wesley Helliwell, Marilyn Creed, William Helliwell and Virginia Kolbezen.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Olson (Kent), Brad Gates and Rebecca Gates; her grandchildren, Katherine Olson, Margaret Olson, Stephen Olson (Kayla) and Kayleigh Gates; her brother Thomas Helliwell; and her brother-in-law Victor Creed. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
