It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Gabel in Minot, North Dakota, born in Crosby, North Dakota, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Benter and Laura Benter (Bjerken); her siblings, Clarence, Robert Benter and Alice Shefstad; her daughter-in-law Joyce Gabel; her granddaughter Marcy Huntress; and her brother-in-law Harvey Peterman.
She is survived by: her spouse Edville Gabel; her sons, Bruce Gabel, Brian Gabel (Lynne) and Brad Gabel (Tracy); her sisters, Shirley Peterman of Crosby, ND, Donna Looman of Miles City, MT and Dorene Anderson of Miles City, MT; her grandchildren, Audrey Williamson (Wade), Scott Gabel, Lindsey Gabel, Amber Gabel and Steven Gabel; and her great grandchildren, Kailey, Rielee, Ashlee Williamson and Shaleen Griffey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to the ND Chapters of the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
