He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Zimmerman and Mildred Zimmerman (Larsen); his former wives, Carol and Arvadell; his brother Dennis; and his stepgrandson Adam Juhl.
He is survived by: his wife Verla Oothoudt; his stepchildren, Vonda (Curt Clark) of Minot, Kari (Arden Glick) of Minot and Noni (Tony Geer) of Minot; his stepgrandchildren, Tony Davidson, Beverly Savarese (Joe), Kathleen Nogosek (Randy), Karen Tolley (Keith Glass), Tim Davidson and Paul Davidson; and his sister Sharon Bossert of Minot. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; children.
