She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Nelson and Beulah Nelson (Jackling-Brown); her spouse Dale Hanson; her daughter Virginia; her granddaughter Polly Pozega (Frank); and her parents-in-law, Bruce Nelson (Barbara), Marilyn Nelson, Elouise "LuLu" Ferruzza (Gene), Irma Branesky (Dan), Elizabeth Nelson, Duane Nelson (Clarice) and Virgil Nelson (Evelyn).

She is survived by: her children, David (Olga), Darrell (Ethel), Dennis (Sharon) and Nadean Schmidt (Gaylin) of Minot, ND; her grandchildren, Penny Perdue (Michael) of Minot, ND, Alan Hanson, Wendy Carlson (Darin), Laurel Kinde (Steve), Kirk Hanson (Sharon), Kyle Schmidt and Nikki Wahlberg (Scott); her great grandchildren, Kevin, Benji, Erin Perdue, Sierra Bove, Gage, Parker Hanson, Ashley Fredericks, Mason Wahlberg, Shelby and Sheyenne Schmidt; her great great grandchildren, Tyson, Carson Perdue, Hiccup, Arlo and Wicker; her sister Elaine Renfrow of Bismarck, ND; and her parents-in-law, Ralph, Delores Hanson and Jeannette Britton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
