He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhart Bachmeier and Lena Bachmeier (Linghor); his son Steven Bachmeier; his sisters, Mary Bachmeier and Beatrice Young; and his sons-in-law, Jay Larson and Doug Schenck.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Mitzel; his children, Kevin Bachmeier (Julie), Candice Johnson (Clyde), Pam Hildebrand (Dan) and Tammy Schenck (late Doug); and his grandchildren, Jesse Richardson (Katie), Briana Rummel (Klark), Jordan Hildebrand, Emily Bachmeier, Tyler and Reilee Schenck.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial by invitation will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020, 10:30 a. m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. It is strongly encouraged to wear a mask and social distance.
Memorials can be made in Philip's memory to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church or a charity of your choosing.
