He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Holte and Bernice Holte (Chilson); his son Scott; his son-in-law Cary Kittelson; and his siblings, Merle, Dale and Norma Schmaltz.
He is survived by: his wife Zona Halstengard; his children, Cindy Holte Kittelson Wiest (Greg) of Velva, Jodi Holte Melander (John Bartlett) of Mandan and Todd Holte (Rebecca) of Moorhead; his brothers, Duane of Montana and Roger (Larina) of West Virginia; and his brother-in-law Edward Schmaltz of Bergen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
