He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter B. Hankla and Alice Hankla (Samuelson); and his wife Winifred Bergem Hankla. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Hankla of Minot, Brian Hankla of Minot and Peter Hankla (JaMie) of Minot; his grandchildren, Lauren, Aundrea, John and Sofia Hankla; and his great grandchild Aurora. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private Service: Due to COVID, the family will have a private service on Monday, December 14, 2020, at 11:00 a. m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot.
He was also a founding member of the First Lutheran Foundation and served as a Board Member and as Secretary.
