It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita James-Kirkaldie of New Town, North Dakota, born in Chamberlain, South Dakota, who passed away on July 28, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Max James; her brother Bryan James; her nephew Jordy James; her niece Lindsey James; her grandparents, Floyd, Lucille Thompson (Langdeau), Eugene White, Sr. and Anna James (Pfliger); and her aunts and uncles, Robert White, Lewis White, Jim White, Eugene White Jr., Loren White, Bucky White, Tyrone White, Joe James, Ted Bolman, Alvin Thompson, Arlen Thompson, Joseph Thomspon, John Thompson, Kim Thompson, Bertina Chase, Kathy Samuels and Phyliss LaDue.
She is survived by : her mother Ella James (Thompson); her former life partner Ben Kirkaldie; her children, Paige Kirkaldie (Jeremy), Houston Kirkaldie and Catlyn Kirkaldie; her grandchildren, Kashus Baker, Kaiven and Kyrie Kirkaldie; her siblings, Marti James, Crystal Bruce (Kevin), Kimberly Hettich, Jay James (Ashley) and Gary Snow (Paula); her aunts, Carla Kurtz (Bill), Jean Bolman and Mary Thompson; her uncle Mac LaDue; and her godchildren, Tamara Wise Spirit, Wyatt Bruce and Chelsea Hettich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
