It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lela Halmrast (Oakes, North Dakota), who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clifford Sveum and Alice Sveum (Duncan); her husband Leonard Halmrast; her siblings, Kenneth, Dale, George, Audrey Yvonne, Celia and Gloria; her grandson Tyrone; and her great grandchildren, Noel and Megan.

She is survived by : her children, Donna Rossow (Tom), Wanda Axtman, Laura Gibbon (Mitch), Kim Gruba (Kelly) and Brent Halmrast (Juli Schultz); and her siblings, Eugene, Cecil, Curtis (Donna), Gerald, Grace Milton and Carol Griggs-Lee. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
