It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Schmit of Oakes, North Dakota, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma Schmit to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Featherstone and Margaret Featherstone (Kittleson); her brother Gary Featherstone; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Schmit, Elsie Featherstone and Gerry Schmit.

She is survived by : her husband Tom; and her children, Karla Schmit of State College, PA, Karen Stennes (Tom) and Dean Schmit (Joleen). She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
