He is survived by: his wife Tara Shirek of Park River, ND; his children, Courtney Shirek of Park River, ND, Brooke Shirek of Park River, ND and Alexandra Shirek of Park River, ND; his mother Mary "Susan" Shirek (O'Neill) of Adams, ND; his siblings, Noel Shirek (Sue) of Thompson, ND, Daniel Shirek (Julie) of Thompson, ND, Susie Aune (Wayne) of Fairdale, ND, Michael Shirek (Rhonda) of Grand Forks, ND, Diane Ericsson (Chris) of Gardnerville, NV, Catherine Shirek (Leo Knudson) and John Shirek (Marie) of Lankin, ND; and his godchildren, Mitchell Shirek, Gavin Bohlman, Erin Shirek, Cody Rasmussen, Charly Daws, Mariel Halverson and Ashley Bina. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
