He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Klimpel and Bernice Klimpel (Irwin); his wife Carol Tofteland; his son Clifford; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane, Darlene Tofteland and Larry Tofteland; and his nephews, Jessy Klimpel and Raymond Tofteland.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Peanut; his son Corey Klimpel of Sawyer; his granddaughter Jamie Harris (Chris Feltner) of Minot; his siblings, Carlene Thiese of Minnetonka, MN, Doyle Klimpel (Ila), Bismarck Klimpel and Gaylon Klimpel (Evelyn); his stepsister Lynne Molina (Fernando) of Lakeville, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Brevig (Clayton), Eileen Tofteland, Jerry Tofteland (Sharon), Jim Tofteland (Kathy) and Don Tofteland (Deb). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
