He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Gustafson and Barbara Gustafson (Goettle); his son James Gustafson; his son-in-law Myron "Coop" Cooper; his grandson Michael Chewakin; and his sisters, Lillian Neether, Violet Vettle and Vivian Lagien.
He is survived by : his wife Angeline Biegler; and his children, Barbara, Cooper (Berthold), Pat Thunshelle (Plaza), Mary Chewakin (Fargo), Allen (Diane), Judy Spletstoser (Rick), Elmer (Ann), Gerard, Tim (Angie), Bryan (Stanley), Pam Schmidt (Gary) and Glenn (Carol). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and brother.
