He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe B. Kunze and Helen "Lena" Kunze (Heinze); and his siblings, Alvina Knight, Helen Geiger, Florence Pickar, Sylvester and Wilfred "Sonny" Kunze.

He is survived by : his sisters, Dolores Nogowski and Beatrice Fuchs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
