With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerome Edward Schmaltz (Velva, North Dakota), born in Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on February 8, 2020 at the age of 66. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Edward Schmaltz of Voltaire, ND and Norma Schmaltz (Holte); his wife Darlene Prellwitz; his daughters, Nichole Selzler (Jason) of Mandan, ND, Danielle Tyler (Mike), Emily Kizima (Wade Marier) and Jessica Hoaglund (Josh); and his siblings, Debbie Engel (Norman) of Velva, ND, Richard Schmaltz (Marian), Cory Schmaltz, Roger Schmaltz (Emily), Greg Schmaltz and Sawyer. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
