It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Harness of Velva, North Dakota, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Mark Harness to show support.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil Harness and Margaret Harness (Thompson). He is survived by : his sister Mary Harness of Tucson, AZ; his aunt Helen Thompson of Reno, NV; his girlfriend Liz Gjellstad of Minot, ND; his children, Melissa Gjellstad of Grand Forks, ND, Clint and Jamie Gjellstad of Velva, ND; and his grandchildren, Odin, Isabelle and Aurora Gjellstad.

Mark believed that the volunteer fire and ambulance departments are a critical service for farmers and rural residents; in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Velva Fire Department and Velva Ambulance Service are preferred, or to the charity of your choice.
