He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Rourke and Adelaide Rourke (Williams); his stepfather Fred Metzler; his siblings, Donald, Patrick, Charles (Judy) and Elaine Wendt (Gary); his son-in-law Joseph Mueller; and his brother-in-law Everett Erbstoesser.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Smedshammer; his children, Dawn Rourke of Fargo, ND, Vicki Mueller of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle Rourke of Verona, ND and Brian "Bud" Rourke (Kyla) of Perham, MN; his sister Joanne Erbstoesser of Fargo, ND; and his sister-in-law Darlyne Rourke. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
