He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Lau and Mary Lau (Zieman); and his wife Shirley Ann Schmitz. He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Henrikson of Albert Lea, MN and Judy Seifert (James) of Cottonwood Heights, UT; his children, Kathy Lau-Marcil (Fargo) and Jeffrey (Verona); his grandson Riley; his daughter Jill Kvilvang (Valley City); his grandsons, Noah and Nicholas; and his daughters, Emily and Elsie.
