She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacob Ottema and Lyone Ottema (Kirk); her husband Gideon Bentz; and her brothers, Vernon, Jack and Donald.

She is survived by : her children, Bruce Bentz (Pat), Dale Bentz (Sheila) and Karen Bishop; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Tammie, Sean, Dustin, Rustin, Justin, Leeann and Leslie; her brothers, Ernest and Douglas; and her great grandchildren, Marisa, Meghan, Aubry, Brock, Aaron, Kaylee, Logan, Jayden, Haylie, Bekka, Nashton, Dawson, Bella and Keegan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
