She was predeceased by : her parents, Reinhold Lindemann and Ella Lindemann (Hoff); her son Clark Merkel; and her sister Olivia Singer. She is survived by : her husband Thomas "Tom" E. Merkel; her children, Cameron Merkel (Julie) of Harwood, ND, Christopher Merkel (Chantel) of Billerica, MA and Joyce Marie Merkel of Billerica, MA; her grandchildren, Andrew (Asia), William, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Fiala, Alexander and Nicholas; her sister Lynn Larsen (Ken) of Ft. Pierre, SD; and her brother-in-law Walter Singer of Renton, WA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
