It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Mae Daugherty (Watford City, North Dakota), who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Stella May (Shastid) and William "Louis" Wilkinson; her grandmother Joyce; her son Jesus; her husband Dan Daugherty of Arnegard, ND.; her daughters, Sharon Ceynar (Bill) of Arnegard, ND and Carol Sanford (Kenny) of Watford City, ND.; her grandchildren, Jami Novodvorsky (Shane) of Douglas, ND, Laci Cargo (Seth) of Arnegard, ND, Cody Ceynar (Janelle) of Watford City, ND, Amy Polivka (Nick) of Watford City, ND, Melony Douglas (James) of Sheridan, WY and Rory Sanford (Lisa) of Watford City, ND.; her great grandchildren, Tate, Miranda Novodvorsky, Dylon Cargo, Trey, Camden, Blake, Weston Polivka, Zooey Douglas, Tucker and Kooper Sanford; her sisters, Wilma Hamilton of Harrison, AR, Dianna Evans (Jerry) of Fairview, MO and Lorraine Johnson (Ernie) of Ringold, GA.; her son Kevin; and her siblings, Louis, James, Martin, Jay and Joy.
It broke her family's hearts to not be able to visit as often as they as they wanted to, due to COVID-19.
Around 2011 Velma's health started declining including her fight with Parkinson's Disease.
