He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Freidig and Rose Freidig (Yantzer); his wife Sylvia Braaten; his grandchildren, Evan Freidig and Nell Freidig; his pet Trixie; and his siblings, Matt, Joe, John, Tony, Frances Staigle, Elizabeth Weisgarber, Margaret Carmen and Mary Staigle.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne (Esther), David (Kathy), Allan (Robin), Kevin (Kathy), Janice Wigen (Randy) and Sandi Lillehaugen (Luke); his parents-in-law, Joyce Freidig of Center, ND, Fred, Valerie Piatz, Rosemary Braaten, Clayton Braaten, Gilmore and Bonnie Braaten; and his close friend Mavis Magnus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and all his special friends.
