He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Donovan (Plummer) and William Donovan; his wife Irene Polivka; and his siblings, James, Carl, Warren, William, Alfreda Lukenbaugh, Francis Howe, Sophia Donovan, Doris Ellis and Rosemarie Goodwin.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Donovan (Verna) of Hillsboro, OR and Tamara Eide (Claire) of Williston, ND. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
