It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth R. Smith (Ainsworth, Nebraska), who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Everett Smith and Irene Smith (Clapper); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Delia Gilliland; his siblings, John, Helen, Clifford, Wayne, Dallas and Gordon; and his granddaughter Angel Yankowski.

He is survived by : his former life partner G. Jeanne Gilliland; his wife Jeanne Smith; his daughters, Pam Schmitz (Marve), Kendy Blake (Turk), Konny Zeigler (Larry) and Kim Yankowski; his grandchildren, Lezley Koubek (Jess), Tyler Schmitz, Squeak Schmitz (Hannah), Laura Priest (Danny), Layne Priest (Darin), Kolby Blake (Tamra), Kade Blake, Zac Zeigler (Katelyn Utter), Heidi Zeigler, Robyn Zeigler, Nate Yankowski and Kori McCarville (Dallas); and his great grandchildren, Tate, Tailey Koubek, Trypp, Milo Schmitz, MaKenna, Draiden Priest, Alyvia, Wrenley Priest, Owen, Caitlyn, Eliott Blake, Rowdy Zeigler, Dillon, Anna, Walker Zeigler, Suttyn Zeigler, Bristol and Briar McCarville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family in Ken's name for a future designation.
