He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Miller and Charlotte A. Miller (Bomeke); his sisters, Glenus Fern, Marion Arlene and Harriett Katheryn; his parents-in-law, Louis and Frieda Thiede; his brothers-in-law, Wilford Secrest, Don Wolf, Forbes Cole, Clyde Irons, Larry Larsen and Richard Sylva; and his nephews, Don Gerest and Leslie Larsen.

He is survived by : his wife Ellen Hope Thiede; and his sister-in-law Virginia Sylva of Springview.
