He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry William Herman and Enora Maud Richards (Briese); his wife Marjorie J. Byerly; and his brother Duane Richards. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Frandsen (Jon) of West Hills, CA and Rhonda Richards of Sparks, MD. He is also survived by niece and nephew, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be given to The Lutheran Hour or the St. Edward Senior Center.
