He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Charles and Ola Gertrude Sibbitt (Alsworth); his sister Naomi "Sitter" Copsey; his son Kem Arthur Sibbitt; and his niece Jackie Copsey.

He is survived by: his children, John Sibbitt Jr., Joan Sibbitt and Dina Denton (John); his daughter-in-law Alice Sibbitt (Kem); his grandsons, Jared Sibbitt (Risa), Clay Sibbitt and Allen Denton; and his nephew Jim Copsey (Ethel).
