She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lloyd E. Nelson and Wilma L. Nelson (Bodle); her husband Burdette Carlson; her children, Dan (Barbara Carlson) of Omaha, Becky Janda of Omaha, Tami Manhart of Grand Island and Beth (Chris Petty) of Denver; her son-in-law Mike Janda; and her brother Gary Nelson (Dorothy). She was also cherished by relatives and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty's honor are kindly suggested to Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden.
