He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elmer and Dorothy Anne Burhoop (Snyder); his siblings, Sharon Burhoop and Ronald Burhoop; his grandson Brady Burhoop; and his mother-in-law Virgie Hurst.

He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Ross; his wife Bev White of Aurora, NE; his children, Kimberly Troia (Richard), Cynthia Weber (Thomas) of Omaha, NE, Dr. Curtis Burhoop (Kimberly) of Walton, NE and Dr. Craig Burhoop (Julie) of McCook Lake, SD; his stepchildren, Lisa Stanton (Craig) and Jeremy White (Karolyn) of Raymond, NE; his grandchildren, Sarah, Alex, Thomas, Christian Troia, Michael, Chris (Samantha), Lauren Weber, Jacob, Noah, Elizabeth Burhoop, Abigail and Isabella Burhoop; and his stepgrandchildren, Tori Stanton, Joey and Jianna White.
