With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deanna Athey of Aurora, Nebraska, born in Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on July 7, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marvin Scott and Mary Margaret Athey, Jr. (Grotzky) of Aurora; her grandparents, Richard, Barbara Grotzky, Marvin and Vesta Athey; her aunt JoAnn Grotzky; her niece Lauren Grace Athey; her siblings, Verl Scott Athey (Lindsay) of Ft. Collins, CO, Barbara Athey of Aurora, Matthew Athey (Mary) of Greeley, CO and Michael Athey of Benton, AR; and her cousin Tina Grotzky of Grand Island. She was also cherished by friends, children, and animals.
Memorials may be made in care of the family for future designation.
