He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Salmon and Thelma Salmon (Lewis); his grandson Tanner Salmon; and his brothers-in-law, Eddie Newman and Ron Obermier.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Newman of Aurora; his children, Mike Salmon (Deb) of Aurora, Shelly Maul (Ray) of Aurora and Darcie Taggart (Pat) of Jefferson, Iowa; his grandchildren, Amber Salmon of Aurora, Jessica Taggart of Boone, Greg Maul of Aurora, Wyatt Taggart of Jefferson and Sarah Maul of Omaha; his great grandchildren, Kobe Bonifas of Aurora and Tristan Salmon of Aurora; his siblings, Kathryn Obermier of Aurora, Ginger Rice (Dick) of Chapman, Doug Salmon (Peg) of Omaha, Roger Salmon (Judy) of Aurora, Becky Kliewer (Kelly) of Aurora and Nancy Lohrmeyer (Eric) of Aurora; and his siblings-in-law, Dan Newman (Julie) of Aurora and Ina Rae Krautsdorfer (Ed) of Louisiana. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and good friends.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Community Foundation to create a scholarship for a student wanting to study mechanics and automotive.
