She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Wells and Essie Wells; her husband Arthur Leroy Shafer; her brothers, Cliff Houser, Toby Wells and Merlin Wells; her great grandchild Darrell Farmer; and her daughter Loretta Westberry.
She is survived by: her son Arthur "Dean" Shafer (Ruby) of Gentry, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Sherley Kay Moorehead of Tallahassee, Dale Shafer of Neosho, Anita Wise of Gentry and Wanda Hammond of Gentry, Arkansas.
There she and Art worked for Christian Record Braille Foundation for 25 years.
