She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Jessen and Edith Jessen (Wein); her husband Howard D. Thompson, Sr.; her siblings, John Jessen, Dorothy Hansen and Gloria Kuhr; and her sons-in-law, Bob Vinton and Carl Sasse.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Lash (Doug), Janis Vinton Sasse, H. Dan Thompson (Kristie) and Greg Thompson (Diane). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to First Lutheran Church in Blair, Nebraska.
