He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Koops and Mary Koops (Hansen); his wife LuVerne Koops; his siblings, Melvin Koops (Evelyn), Kenny Koops, Henrietta Stewart (Melvin), Elsie Moeller (Elmer), Edna Mae Nelson (Clyde) and Dorothy Ziegler (Vernon); his parents-in-law, Wayne Schultz (Doris), Les Schultz (Katherine), Don Schultz (Lois), Lee Schultz and Russel Schultz (Lucy); and his brother-in-law Harley Wakeley.

He is survived by : his sisters-in-law, Evon Koops and Gladys Wakeley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
