She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Thompson and Leone Thompson (Bacon); her husband Jim Holmes of Arcadia, NE; and her sister Shirley Griffiths. She is survived by: her children, Sandy Dubbs (David) of Loup City, NE, Jude Holmes (Denae) of Kingwood, TX and Dan Holmes of Broken Bow, NE.; her grandchildren, Norman, Joseph Merrill and LeAire; and her great grandchildren, Elijah and Allison Merrill.
Evelyn was a member of the Methodist Church of Broken Bow and went to church regularly until the pandemic in 2020.
