She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Ridpath and Edna Ridpath (Morton); her husband Harold McChesney; her daughter Deanna Miller; her siblings, Frances McConnell (Elvin), Leona McConnell (Roy), Maxine VanPelt, Joan Randolph (Dewey) and Wayne Ridpath (Agnes); and her grandson Aaron McChesney.

She is survived by : her children, Melody Brown (Daryl) of Cambridge, Robert McChesney (Karen) of Mansfield and Richard McChesney (Jimi) of Safford, Arizona; her stepbrother Ed Temple (Fu Sing) of Chicago; and her brother-in-law Lee VanPelt of Montrose. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
