He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gehring and Grace Gehring (Kruse); and his siblings, Charlene Gehring, Merlin Gehring and Jeanne Gehring.
He is survived by: his sons, Gaylan Jr. Gehring (Yanaisy), Shane Gehring (Kimberly), Jeff Gehring (Tina) and Lance Gehring (Maria); his siblings, Janell Anderson (Stephen) and Eugene Gehring (Sarah); and his sister-in-law Lynita Gehring.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (1771 43rd Ave, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
