He is survived by: his children, Michael Apfel (Ramona Larson) of Hutchinson, Michelle Asselin (Todd) of Malone, Christopher Apfel, Cary of Lenexa, Kansas and Mark Apfel (Lindsey) of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Autumn, Aspen, Nicholas and Lincoln Apfel; his brother Loren Apfel (Donna) of Norfolk; and his sibling's children, Steve, Darren, Jason Apfel and Kimberly Apfel.
