He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Bauer and Wilma Marie Bauer (Wiles); his mother-in-law James Knaggs; his brother Roger Bauer; his siblings-in-law, Cathy Bauer, Carol Bauer, Joyce Bauer, Ken Strickland, Dale Tomasek and Fred Larson; his niece Linda Thomsen; and also Leona Knaggs.
He is survived by: his children, Lynette and Cynthia; his wife Bonnie of Cozad; his children, Lynn Rose (Brian) of Kearney Nebraska, Cindy Owens (Keith) of Nampa and Dennis Bauer (Linda) of Millard; his grandchildren, Sheyenne Kayser (Spencer) of Mandan, Jeremy Bauer (Brittany) of Atkinson, Hope Dreesen (Paul) of La Vista and Shelby Bauer of Millard; his great grandchildren, Kiptyn Bauer, Lawsyn Bauer and Tahlia Dreesen; and his siblings, Larry Bauer of Lexington, James Bauer of Cozad, Thomas Bauer of Farnam, Steven Bauer (Carol) of Eddyville, Michael Bauer of Bailey, Phyllis Robinson (Archie) of Holdrege, Beverly Tomasek of Omaha, Mary Bauer of Indio, Julia Tucker of Lee Summit, Dorothy Larson of Loveland and Marilyn Stephens of Englewood. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Knaggs side of the family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
