She was predeceased by : her parents, John Rethmeier and Pauline Rethmeier (Kubicek); her husband Ben Edward Busboom; her son Thomas Paul; her siblings, Marion Rethmeier, Roma Jean Means (Rethmeier), John Jr. and Kenneth; and her great grandchild Mason Dixon.

She is survived by : her children, David Busboom of Crete, Susan Novak (Deane) and Alan Busboom (Regina) of Norfolk; her daughter-in-law Pam Busboom of Crete; her grandchildren, Ben Busboom (Karla) of Omaha, Sabrina Dixon (Jesse) of Milford, Amanda Busboom of Elkhorn, Andrea Bakenhus (Josh) of Elkhorn, Tim Gall (Stephanie) of Topeka, KS, Aaron Novak of Dorchester, Elizabeth Amegbeto (Komlan) of Omaha and Jeremy Gall (Holly) of Omaha; and her great grandchildren, Rory, Behrend Busboom, Justin, Jessa Dixon, Gage, Ellison Bakenhus, Liev, Landry, Lennyn Gall, Zafirah Amegbeto, Larkin and Kendal Gall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for later designation.
