She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Karstens and Evelyn Karstens (Booth); her sister Clarice Murchie; and her siblings-in-law, John Walker, John Montag, Joe Montag, Phillip Montag, Robert Montag, Sara Montag, Dolores Montag and Colleen Montag.

She is survived by : her husband David Montag of David City; her daughter Anne Weber (James) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Ben Weber (Emily), Rachael Brown (Derek) and Megan Rieger (Kyle); her son Brad Montag (Peg) of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Sara Miriovsky (Jake), Andrew and Seth Montag; her son Brett Montag of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Spencer and Molly Montag; her great grandchildren, Maren, Colson Miriovsky and Soleia Weber; her daughter Jane Wright (John); her grandchildren, J. R. Wright (Myranda) and Tom Stander Carl (Francie); her great grandchildren, Jessie Bogaard (Brian), Jamie Murdock Don (Duane), Blake, Lanie, Grace, Carlee, Renee, Bryden, Bonnie and John Conner; her brother Virgil Karstens (Julie) of Spirit Lake; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Montag, Paul Montag, Tom Montag (Sandy), Lois Jean Walker and Mary Montag.
