He was predeceased by : his parents, Walt and Bonnie; his grandson Isaac Rivera; his father-in-law Carl Sinsel; his nieces and nephews, Crystina Sinsel and Josh Jacobsen; and his brother-in-law Larry Johnson.

He is survived by : his wife Lori Jacobsen (Sinsel); his sons, Justin (Natalie) of Lincoln, Mike (Aubree) of Lincoln and Brad of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Journee, Justyce, Bria, Alexandria, Aria, Gabriel, Dylan, Aaron, Bryleigh, Faith, Johnathan and Matthew; his siblings, Steve (Candy) of Lincoln, Mike (Dee) of Rose Hill, Mark (Judy) of Pleasant Dale, Barb Kim Johnson of Renton, Melinda Hudson (Joe) of Lincoln and Peggy Peak of Columbia; and his mother-in-law Loretta Sinsel of Denton. He is also survived by three brothers-in law, two sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
