He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert F. Maurer and Edith E. Maurer (Stromberg); his brothers, Richard Dean "Pepsi" Maurer and Robert Duane Maurer; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Maurer and Harold Sohrweid.
He is survived by : his wife Jane Larson of Genoa; his son Dan Maurer (Rhonda Maurer) of Omaha; his grandchildren, McCallister and Mitch; his son Wade Maurer (Eileen Maurer) of Vista; his grandchildren, Samanna, Cole and Jane Covert (Larson) of Omaha; and his siblings, Marvin Maurer of Lincoln and Roberta Sohrweid (Maurer) of Genoa.
