He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Obermeier and Alice Obermeier (Sundermeier); his sister RoseMary Hansen (Calvin); his brother-in-law Gerald Hunnicutt; and his daughter-in-law Anita Obermeier.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Kline; his children, Steven Obermeier (Norma) and Janice Morse (Richard); and his siblings, Melvin Obermeier (Maryellen) and Lucille Hunnicutt.
