He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Henry, Viola Wagener, Robert and Ina Wurster. He is survived by : his parents, Phillip Wagener of Gothenburg and Irma Wagener (Wurster) of Cozad; his siblings, Curt Wagener (Cassie) of Holdrege, Brad Wagener (Christina) of Lexington, Jeremy Wagener (Tana) of Lincoln and Kelsi Wagener (Jon) of Omaha; his uncles, Robert Wurster Jr. and Dave Wurster; and his cousins, Jason Vance, Seth Johnson and Blaine Golter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Cozad Fire and Rescue, Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department or to the family for later designation.
